Ramagundam (Karimnagar): Four wagons of a goods train, carrying coal, caught fire at Ramagundam Railway Station on Saturday evening.

The wagons carrying coal were damaged in the fire. Flames erupted in a wagon when the coal was loaded into them. The fire spread to other wagons.

The goods train with 59 wagons was to carry coal to Raichur in Karnataka from Singareni coal mines. The authorities swung into action and delinked the wagons from the train and prevented spreading of flames to other wagons.
