Pioneer India Electronics has announced the launch of smartphone application ARC (Advance Remote control). Pioneer’s ARC app will enable its users to control and play various music sources and apps in their smartphone conveniently by operating Pioneer audio receiver or a smartphone. It will also enable users to manage their contacts/calls and control selected 3rd party apps like navigation to get turn-by-turn guidance through car speakers.

The app’s large icons & touch and swipe interface makes it easy to switch music source and songs. It features a two display mode (Vertical and Landscape) and a customizable theme color along with an album artwork. It is also compatible with Mixtrax which is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a Non-Stop music MIX with a range of DJ-inspired effects.

No extra cables are required to be bought to use the app features. Users just need to connect their phone with headunit through Phone’s charging cable/USB cable and access the features through ARC app. The app can be downloaded through Google play store and Apple iTunes.

Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Kulshrestha, manager - marketing and product planning, Pioneer India Electronics said, “The ARC app is developed to deliver a complete in-car entertainment experience to its users by allowing them to access various multimedia sources via a centralized user interface. Pioneer India holds major aftermarket car entertainment share in the headunit category, its major contributors being the DEH & FH product series. With the launch of ARC, we are hopeful that our DEH & FH series would become even more desirable.”
