After passing out their graduation, majority of the students in the country are directionless and struggle hard to earn a job. The private companies do not take fresher directly unless they have the required skills.

Mahbubnagar: After passing out their graduation, majority of the students in the country are directionless and struggle hard to earn a job. The private companies do not take fresher directly unless they have the required skills.

To support students in this endeavor, particularly the rural ones, the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) organised a programme in Mahbubnagar at B R R Degree College and imparted skill development training to the students.

In fact, the Central government has also taken up skill development programme under the Prime Minister’s ‘Kaushal Yojana’ scheme where students from rural areas will be trained for 45 hours and will be made ready to further pursue their

careers. “NSDC is mainly aimed at improving hidden talents and skills of rural students. It will help them face interviews with confidence and become successful in getting jobs,” said Dr Balakrishna, in charge (NSDC).

After the programme, the students, who topped in Zoology were awarded cash prizes in the memory of Shankaramma and Gundaiah. The cash awards were sponsored by T Krishnaiah, retired lecturer Zoology. The programme was organised by Department of Zoology.
