Promoting young artistes
The Department of Youth Services, Government of Andhra Pradesh started the District Youth competitions at Ghantasala Venkatewara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Thursday.
The Department of Youth Services, Government of Andhra Pradesh started the District Youth competitions at Ghantasala Venkatewara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Thursday. With the aim to bring new talent among the youth and to inculcate culture and group activity in them, competitions were conducted at Gudivada, Machilipatnam, Nuzividu revenue divisions.
In this regard, competitions were conducted in the segments of Classical vocal, instruments both Carnatic and Hindustani (solo and Group), Indian Classical Dance forms for both individual and groups, folk dances, Elocution and one act play.
Ramakrishna, Assistant Director, Youth services, KS Govindarajan, Music College Principal and Ramachandra Rao have participated in a formal inauguration meeting.
