Goraksha Diwas observed
Goraksha Diwas, the mass prayers to cows, were conducted at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam in Dwaraka Tirumala on Sunday.

On the call given by Sri Petham Pontiff Swamy Paripoornananda, to observe the Goraksha Diwas, the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Endowments department performed the prayers to the cows. Several devotees offered prayers to cows at the Goshala in the temple.
Executive Officer Vendra Trinadha Rao said that as per the directions from the higher officials, the Goraksha Diwas was observed in the temple.
In Bhimavaram, devotees offered prayers to cows on Goraksha Diwas at the Lord Someswara Janardhana Swamy temple. Temple Trust Board Chairman Vegesna Rangaraju and his wife offered prayers to cows at the temple.
Trust board members, Executive officer K Kesava Rao and devotees participated in the prayers. In Mavullamma temple of Bhimavaram town, temple Chairman K Satyanarayana Murthy performed the Pooja to cows. Temple Superintendent Satyanarayana, temple priest Subrahmanyam, temple inspector Vasu, Lokanadham and others participated in the programme.
