Srinivasa Rao said that the ruling party at Centre resorted to many activities in Gujarat like postponing the election notification, announcing sops worth thousands of rupees, reducing GST from 28 to 18 percent on 178 items and using the emotions to gain votes. But it faced questions about the two crore jobs from unemployed, on MSP with 50 percent of profit from farmers, on employment guarantee from job holders, he said.

The RK Nagar by-election in Chennai was a clear indication that the Tamil Nadu people were not ready to accept BJP mark conspiracies. He said that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to keep the public in utopia with the promises of a great capital, investments and employment opportunities in the state.

He alleged that the state and Central governments were now sponsoring a drama on Polavaram. He asked them to get ready to pay the price if they failed to complete it as scheduled.

CPM district secretary Poonati Anjaneyulu demanded that the government release water through Nagarjuna Sagar to save the crops in Rabi. He said it was justifiable that the demand of farmers and public to release one TMC of water to Musi river in the district to save the crops and utilise for drinking needs of the public.

He demanded that the government take immediate action to save the drought-hit mandals in the district and to save Ongole dairy and PDCC bank.

The state committee members, Y Venkateswara Rao, district committee members Mupparaju Kotaiah, GV Kondareddy, Sd Haneef, Chikati Srinivasa Rao, Pentyala Hanumantha Rao, Sk Mabu and others also participated in the meeting.
