Rajamahendravaram: The relay hunger strike of Indira Satya Nagar residents entered into 40th day on Thursday. The residents had been continuing their protest, condemning the decision of Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) to remove their houses from the existing place.

BC Welfare Association secretary K Harika said that the corporation earlier passed a resolution to construct G+2 houses in 40 feet area by leaving remaining 40 feet for road. But, the corporation officials were set aside the resolution and trying to favour one leader.

The protest would be continued until the corporation rollbacks its decision. Stating that the TDP leaders were not coming forward to do justice to the residents, the agitators asked MLA Dr ASatyanarayana to do favour to the residents.
