The minister was the chief guest at ‘Arogya Deepti’ workshop held at Sri Sesha Sai Kalyana Vedika here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the ZP Chairperson, Gadde Anuradha for taking initiative in organising health camps at various villages and mandals. About 20,000 women in rural areas of Krishna district were benefitted, he informed. He said that by organising health camps, diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cancer were detected and treatment was being given under NTR Vaidya Seva, at Government hospital and empanelled hospitals under CSR activities.

He said that Master Mahila Health Check-up would be done free for women above 30 years, which include throat cancer, breast cancer, uterus cancer and other diseases. He said the number of patients coming to government hospitals was increased drastically. He said that there was shortage of beds and the government was planning to increase the number of beds in the hospitals, and new sanitation policy was brought into force for good sanitation in hospitals.

NTR Vaidya Seva services would be provided for pensioners in Hyderabad and the patents can get treatment which was not available in AP, he added. MP Konakalla Narayana, ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha and others were present. A poster was released on the occasion.
