Swatch Survekshan awareness rally held
VMC Commissioner J Nivas said that by using latest equipment, the city will be kept clean round- the- clock. He participated in \'Swatch Survekshan\' awareness rally as a part of Swachh Bharat programme held at KV Reddy Municipal High School in Krishna Lanka here on Monday.
Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner J Nivas said that by using latest equipment, the city will be kept clean round- the- clock. He participated in 'Swatch Survekshan' awareness rally as a part of Swachh Bharat programme held at KV Reddy Municipal High School in Krishna Lanka here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the corporator Suresh, school students and the local residents for participating in the Swachh Survekshan rally, and said that everyone should keep their surroundings clean by following Swachh Bharat.
He said that toilets in Vijayawada city were modified, walls were painted with colorful paintings, beautification work was done for canal bunds, dust bins and other works were taken up by the VMC to keep the city clean. He said that everyday, dry and wet garbage was collected separately and the wet garbage was used for compost, he added.
Corporator Ch Suresh said that every individual should follow the instructions of the Commissioner and follow Swachh Survekshan to keep the surroundings clean and avoid open defecation and urinating in public places.
