Vijayawada: About 200 patients were treated at the free eye camp organised jointly by the District Lions Club 316D and the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalist Association at Press Club here on Sunday. Journalist, non-journalist and their family members attended the eye check-up camp. They were treatment by doctors of LV Prasad Eye Hospital.

The camp was organised by Lions governor VV Sai Vara Prasad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Lions Club organised free eye camp for patients suffering from cataract and other ailments. The patients would be operated free of cost. They had organised about 150 free eye camps so far, he added.

Journalist Ambati Anjaneyulu thanked the Lions Club members and LV Prasad Eye Hospital doctors for their support in organising the free eye camp. He recalled that various health camps were organised for journalists and their families in the past. Lions Club members, LV Prasad Eye Hospital doctors, journalists and their family members were present.
