Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has devised an action plan to make Rajamahendravaram as cattle-free city by shifting the stray cattle which are posing problems in the city.

Rajamahendravaram: Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has devised an action plan to make Rajamahendravaram as cattle-free city by shifting the stray cattle which are posing problems in the city.

The action plan, executed from Wednesday, will last till March 29. All the cattle will be shifted to Bobbilanka village of Sitanagaram mandal.

RMC Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju, allotted duties to 24 sanitary workers and sanitary supervisors and they were instructed to catch the stray cattle between 6am to 6pm.
On Wednesday, as many as 13 stray cattle were shifted to Bobbilanka village.

It is the duty of the respective cattle owners to keep the cattle in their houses and the cattle seized cannot be given back to its owners. The RMC will take stern action against the cattle owners, if they fail to cooperate with the corporation in this regard. RMC health officer Dr MVR Murthi, sanitary supervisors Narayana Rao, Srinivasa Rao and other staff participated in the programme.
