2 students from city win Judo medals
Two students of Eluru have won medals in the State-level Judo competitions held in Visakhapatnam recently.
Eluru: Two students of Eluru have won medals in the State-level Judo competitions held in Visakhapatnam recently.
S Chandu of Eluru won the bronze medal in 66 Kgs category and Ch Suresh won the bronze medal in 73 Kgs category in Juniors championships, according to District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) S Aziz.
The DSDO congratulated the two students at a programme held at Alluri Sitaramaraju Stadium here on Thursday. The DSDO Aziz said that it was highly appreciable that Eluru students won the medals in the skill game which needs high attention.
These students participated in the championship held in Visakhapatnam from March 17 to 19, he said.
M Paul Raj, secretary of West Godavari Judo Association, Madhyahnapu Balaram, chairman of the District Judo Association, PV Teja, Judo Coach also congratulated the two students for their achievement.
