District kabddi assn can't be dissolved

Vijayawada: Krishna District Kabaddi Association Secretary Y Srikanth alleged that the association president Ch Venkateswara Rao is not competent to dissolve the district Association.

In this regard speaking to the media on Monday, he informed that he would bring the issue to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a couple of days. He said that he would also meet the Governor on May 30 and explain about the irregularities in the Kabaddi association.

He said that chairman K Buchibabu and president of the association are not competent to take any decision to dissolve the association. He said that all the members of the general body including vice-president, joint secretary, treasurer and other members should be present and more than 70 per cent should support to dissolve the association as per the bylaws.

He said that in the present situation a new president and other members will be elected by the general body. He clarified that if the president of the association tenders resignation the association cannot be dissolved. He further said there are no differences among the members of the kabaddi association.

He said that there were allegations against the state secretary V Veera Lankaiah, who was selling sports certificates for personal benefits. He said that as many as 22 fake certificates have been traced out out of 100 certificates sold.Vice-president Komati Sudhakar, Joint secretaries S Rrajashekar, Ch Srinivas, Treasurer Borra Ashok were present.
