Woman seeks police protection
A married woman, Satti Adilakshmi of Ravulapalem in East Godavari district, sought police protection from her family as she fears danger to her life from her relatives. In a representation to East Godavari Additional SP AR Damodar, she expressed her fear.

Adilakshmi in her representation stated that she was married last year for the second time after the death of her husband. Her mother-in-law, Sabbella Vankata Ratnam performed her marriage with Ramakrishna Reddy after demise of her first husband.
But relations from the other side, who do not like the second marriage, are trying to attack her and her husband. Relatives from her parents’ side had warned her of dire consequences, she alleged in the representation.
Adilakshi wanted protection for her family, including her first husband’s mother Sabbella Venkataratnam. According to Adilakshmi, the Additional SP assured protection and asked her to complain at Ravulapalem police station in case of any fresh threats.
