Medical Technology Park to come up in Vizag
A Medical Technology Park will be set up at Visakhapatnam soon. An agreement was reached to this effect between the State government and Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED) at the Chief Minister\'s camp office here on Saturday. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and AIMED Forum coordinator Rajiv Nath signed the agreement.
Vijayawada: A Medical Technology Park will be set up at Visakhapatnam soon. An agreement was reached to this effect between the State government and Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED) at the Chief Minister's camp office here on Saturday. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and AIMED Forum coordinator Rajiv Nath signed the agreement.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that AP would be developed as medical device manufacturing hub. He said the government was ready to provide necessary facilities to medical device manufacturers. He said that he wished to develop the State as a medical education hub.
Naidu said one among five doctors in the country was from Andhra Pradesh. Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas, Medical and Health advisor Jitendra Sarma, Commissioner for Medical and Health Poonam Malakondaiah and others were present.
