The Ministry of Railways has agreed to halt Ratnachal Express, a superfast inter-city express train that runs between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada as a daily service, at Anaparthi railway station in East Godavari district, according to Rajahmundry MP Maganti Muralimohan.

He stated that orders were issued from the office of the Union Railway Ministry on Tuesday in this regard. He reminded that the people and traders in Anapathi region are demanding the government to stop the Ratnachal Express at Anaparthi railway station for the past few years. Students and traders would be benefited with the halt, he said.

Trains cancelled

Visakhapatnam: The Jat agitation in Haryana led to disruption of train services in Northern Railway. Hence, many trains have been cancelled, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M Yelvender Yadav. Train No. 12862 Nizamuddin-Kazipet-Visakhapatnam Dakshin Link Express scheduled to leave Nizamuddin on February 23 to reach Kazipet on February 25 and reach Visakhapatnam on the same day was cancelled.

Train No 12510 Guwahati-Bengaluru Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on February 23 passing Waltair Division on February 24 was cancelled. Train No 12509 Bengaluru-Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Bengaluru on February 26 and passing Waltair Division on February 27 was also cancelled.
