A collection of poems in two editions  called ‘Kavitha 2014 and 2015’ by regional poets was released at the Sikhara School in the city amidst poets from South Indian States, at a programme, ‘An Evening with Poetry’, on Sunday.

A collection of poems in two editions called ‘Kavitha 2014 and 2015’ by regional poets was released at the Sikhara School in the city amidst poets from South Indian States, at a programme, ‘An Evening with Poetry’, on Sunday.

The cultural programme which is aimed to bring together the poets of South Indian languages was organised by Sahithi Mithrulu. The collection of 69 inspiring poems on various subjects in the issue of 2014 was released by poet Vimala and the collection of 89 poems was released by Shreya, daughter of poet and veteran journalist Late Arun Sagar. The edition of 2015 is a dedication to Arun Sagar.

Poet Khader Mohiuddin presided over the event where, Sai Geetha Hegde (Tulu poet), Girish Puliyar (Malayalam poet), Siresha (Tamil poet) and Dr Meher Basha Guliyar (Kannada Poet) participated in the poem oration event. Publisher of Chinuku magazine Nanduri Rajagopal , journalist and poet Namadi Sridhar and others spoke on the occasion.
