Visakhapatnam: The city police are still groping in the dark to find 11- month-old B Navadeep who was allegedly abducted by a woman vendor on Thursday. The boy was playing in the cellar of an apartment where his grandfather is a watchman.

The incident took place at about 11 am on that day and before that the local people saw a woman moving door-to-door offering to sell tassels. Later, she was seen with the baby speeding in an autorickshaw.

Basing on this basic information, police launched a hunt for the woman all over the city. Special teams were formed and fanned out in different directions. Some teams went to Kakinada where similar incidents took place and others went to Bhimili, Vizianagaram and other surrounding places.
