​Tanuku: Local MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna said that efforts were on to make . He inaugurated the tree plantation drive as part of Neeru-Chettu, by planting a sapling on the road margins at Housing Board Colony here on Monday, in an effort to increase the green cover.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the plantation drive would continue for one month in every ward of the town. He exhorted those in charge to turn Neeru-Chettu programme into a people-centric one to achieve success.

Municipal chairman Dommeti Venkata Sudhakar, commissioner Amaraiah and a host of TDP workers planted 200 saplings.
