Kargil War heroes remembered
He promised the ex-servicemen to take them to the Chief Minister when he visits the district on August 15, to draw the attention of the Chief Minister to their problems and petitions.
Anantapur: A meeting in memory of Kargil War heroes held here on Tuesday by the NCC cadets and ex-servicemen Welfare Association. Speaking on the occasion, local MLA V Prabhakar Chowdary praised the soldiers, who fought the Kargil War amidst hostile conditions and on a snow mountain which is 18,000 feet above sea level. He said that the sacrifices of the war heroes of Kargil can never be forgotten.

Noted medical practitioner Dr Ram Subbaiah said that he was proud to send his son YVK Mohan to the armed forces, who rose to the rank of a Lieutenant-General and serving the nation.
