The Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India (SSSO India) – a multi-cultural, international spiritual service organisation, based in Prashanti Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, has announced three initiatives at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand from September 9-11.  

Hyderabad: The Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India (SSSO India) – a multi-cultural, international spiritual service organisation, based in Prashanti Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, has announced three initiatives at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand from September 9-11.

The organisation will inaugurate Sri Sathya Sai Ghat on the banks of river Ganga in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand on September 10, 2016. The Ghat is intended to help pilgrims and tourists take a safe and hygienic dip in the Ganges. Typically, the region is witness to more than 10 Lakh pilgrims and tourists and the numbers increase during the peak period of mid September to May every year.

Sri Sathya Sai Naam Sankeertan Sammelan – a yearly music festival promoting young musicians will be launched on September 10, 2016 at the Sathya Sai Ghat. A special devotional concert will be held by ‘Bhajan Samrat’ Sri Anoop Jalota and Prashanti Bhajan troupe on the day.

The Sri Sathya Sai Vedic Learning Centre & Library, housed in an area of 2500 sq ft will be inaugurated on September 11, 2016. The learning center is open to all and can be accessed by residents, students, tourists etc for their reading / learning requirements.

The library is equipped with books and reference material across several fields and provides access to ancient Vedic learning, free-of- cost based on the principles and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

“In addition to various activities which the organisation has been doing for decades, ranging from free education to rescue-missions and free medical treatment to diverse communities, the latest initiatives are aimed at improving the physical infrastructure , hygiene and safety for pilgrims and tourists ,” said Nimish Pandya , All-India President, SSSSO India.

SSSSO India in the last 30 years has reached out to 15 lakh students across the country through its Sathya Sai schools. It has also reached out to about 50 lakh students through ‘Balvikas’ programme which is based on the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai.

The organisation has been working to empower youth by connecting them to eminent experts through its youth-events across the country. With a strong support base of over 6 lakh Sevadal (volunteers), aged 18 to 65, the SSS Organisation has been playing a significant role in providing various kinds of services to the communities, youth and nation.
