Abandoned baby girl rescued

According to district project director of the department T Pravina, the baby girl was abandoned in bushes near the village on September 3. She was rescued by Anganwadi workers.
Kakinada: The new born baby girl who was abandoned at Potuluru village outskirts in Prathipadu mandal in East Godavari district has been rescued by East Godavari women and child welfare department.

After preliminary enquiries at the near-by areas, the baby has been shifted to the home at Kakinada run by the department.The official asked the parents or close relations of the baby to stake their claim within 30 days with proof. Otherwise, the baby would be given for adoption as per legal process, the PD clarified.
