Chittoor: MLA DA Satya Prabha said that she had submitted a detailed report for developing Chittoor as a model city, to TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh. Speaking to The Hans India on Thursday, the MLA said it was a blessing for the State and Chittoor district that both Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh hailed from Chittoor as they were putting in extraordinary efforts for the development of the district. Satya Prabha said that Nara Lokesh was instrumental in obtaining a place for Chittoor Municipal Corporation on the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Rejuvenation (AMRUT) list.

She said that she had explained all the issues relating to the party as well as the developmental works in Chittoor Assembly Constituency to Lokesh. Under the dynamic leadership of Forest Minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy, by and large, all the core issues of Chittoor city have been resolved amicably. Drinking water is being supplied through NTR Jalasayam Project and impetus has been given for the beautification of Kattamanchi and Gangineni at a cost of Rs 3.5 cr.

Referring to the controversy over the demolition of Indian Red Cross Society building in the city, Satya Prabha made it clear that it was inevitable in order to beautify the city. She said that the Chittoor SP should take steps for vacating Chittoor one town polices station building in the interest of beautification of Chittoor City. “We have explained everything in this regard to the police authorities. The Municipal Corporation has also offered suitable alternative accommodation for the one town police station,” she concluded.
