Vuda children’s theatre to be ready by November 20

Visakhapatnam: Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao disclosed that the construction of Vuda Children’s theatre will be completed by November20 which will be an added special attraction to the city.

Accompanied by local MP K Hari Babu, the Minister, who visited the children’s theatre being built with international standards here on Thursday, enquired about the progress from Vuda Vice-Chairman T Baburao Naidu.

The Minister later told media persons that the theatre has taken up at a cost of Rs 22 crore and in the ground floor, an auditorium was built to accommodate 400 persons to organise various competitions for children and a sophisticated theatre in the first floor with quality sound and lighting system.

He claimed that the TDP government has taken up the initiative of constructing children’s theatre when it was neglected by the previous government. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is keen in dedicating the theatre to public at the earliest and enquired many a time about its progress, he added.

It may be recalled that founder of Vizag Film Society Narava Prakasa Rao submitted a representation to the Vice- Chairman of Vuda recently seeking early completion of the Children’s Theatre. He appealed to dedicate the theatre to children at least on the Children’s Day.
