SRR & CVR College clinches Kabaddi trophy
Vijayawada: City-based SRR&CVR Government Degree College clinched the Krishna University Inter Collegiate (KRUIC) Kabbadi Championship which concluded at Vikas College of Physical Education (BPED) at Nunna near Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: City-based SRR&CVR Government Degree College clinched the Krishna University Inter Collegiate (KRUIC) Kabbadi Championship which concluded at Vikas College of Physical Education (BPED) at Nunna near Vijayawada on Wednesday.
In the final match SRR & CVR College beat SGS Government Degree College by 32-27. SRR players Sravan, Sandeep, Kumar, Sardar and Narasimha excelled.
PB Siddhartha College and Vijaya BPED College played for third and fourth places, Vijaya BPED College won the match by 34-28 over PB Siddhartha College.
Later, Krishna University Registrar D Surya Chandra Rao distributed prizes to winners and runners up.
Speaking on the occasion, registrar Surya Chandra Rao said that the university should continue its support for sports.Krishna University Sports Board secretary Dr N Srinivasa Rao, Nunna sarpanch K Vijay Kumar, SRR College principal Ravi, Vikas Educational Institutions chairman Naredla Mardi Reddy, advocate Rajeswara Rao, Vikas BPED college principal Dr S Raju, tournament organising secretary R Rama Krishna and others participated.
