99,000 white ration cards sanctioned in Guntur dist
Minister for Agriculture Prathipati Pulla Rao said that the government has sanctioned 99,000 white ration cards in Guntur district.
Guntur: Minister for Agriculture Prathipati Pulla Rao said that the government has sanctioned 99,000 white ration cards in Guntur district. Addressing a meeting at Pedagarlapadu village in Dachepalli mandal on Wednesday, he said the aim of Janmabhoomi is know whether eligible people are receiving benefits of welfare schemes or not. He further stated that the government has sanctioned Rs 3.76 crore for the development of infrastructure in Pedagarlapadu.
Commissioner of labour and observer for Janmabhoomi programme for Gurazala, Vara Prasad disclosed that the government is spending Rs 200 crore to implement Chandranna Bhima scheme to provide accidental insurance coverage to the workers working in unorganised sector. He said so far 20,000 claims were settled under this scheme.
District Collector Kantilal Dande, officials of various government departments were present.
