Vijayawada: CRDA commissioner Ch Sreedhar on Thursday said that permission should be obtained from Airports Authority of India for construction of 40 floors and above building with height of 150 metres in the Amaravati capital region area.

In a statement released here the commissioner said the Airport Authority of India has changed the guidelines and introduced Colour Coded Zoning Map making it easier to obtain permission for construction of high rise building in the capital region comprising Krishna and Guntur districts.

He said buildings up to 20 floors can be constructed in Vijayawada and between 15 to 33 floors in the surrounding villages and mandals of Vijayawada. He said further information can be obtained from CRDA office.
