Deities worshipped with vegetables

Kurnool: Lord Mahanandiswara along with his consort Goddess Kameswari was on Wednesday worshipped with 250 kg of rice amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by priests.

Having a darshan of Mahanandiswara along with His consort gives the same result as that of having darshan of Lord Venkateswara through the northern gateway on Mukkoti Ekadasi day.

Later, the deities were worshipped with vegetables. A programme to feed devotees was held later with ‘Anna Prasadam’. A good number of temple devasthanam staff and devotees took part in the programme.
