Anantapur: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) conducted its fifth Board of Directors meeting here at administrative building on Tuesday.
In the meeting, they approved the extension of the Vice-Chancellor term for one more year and gave approval for construction of administrative building, lecture hall and various developmental works in the university.
The directors also gave approval to the budget for the year 2017-18. They also approved to increase the salary of teaching assistants.
Vice-chancellor MMM Sarcar, Rector Professor D Subba Rao, Registrar S Krishnaiah, Professors K Ramanaidu and C Sridhar, College Principal K Prahlad Rao and other board members attended the meeting.
