Chandigarh, Mha boys’ teams to clash for title
Vijayawada: Maharashtra and Kerala girl’s teams entered finals of the 26th Baseball Junior National Championship being conducted at the NTR Stadium in Gudivada in Krishna district on Saturday.

In boys’ section, Chandigarh and Maharashtra teams reached the finals. Boys and girls teams’ final matches will be held at the NTR Stadium in Gudivada on Sunday.
In girls’ section semi-finals, Kerala beat Madhya Pradesh by 2-1 runs while in second semis Maharashtra trounced Punjab by 10-5 runs to enter the finals.
In boys’ section, in first semis match, Chandigarh humbled Rajasthan by 10-0 runs and entered finals. In second semi-final match, Maharashtra beat Punjab by 7-2 runs and reached the finals. Both the boys and girls final matches and prize distribution function will be held on Sunday.
On Saturday, Amateur Baseball Federation of India secretary general Sudheer was the chief guest for the semi-final matches. Andhra Pradesh Baseball Association secretary M V Satya Prasad, organising secretary Daram Naveen Kumar introduced the players.
