The Andhra Loyola Engineering College has won Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) Central Zone Cricket tournament Runners up cup. The Loyola Engineering College has been defeated by Raghu Engineering College, Visakhapatnam in the final match, which was conducted at SKRBR ground in Narasaropet in Guntur district recently.

The Loyola Engineering College had won the ‘C’ zone championship and qualified for Central zone tournament. All the zonal winning teams were participated in the State-level tournament. In the final match, Loyola Engineering College competed with Raghu Engineering College and lost the match by margin of 84 runs and stood in second position.

In this connection, Andhra Loyola College director Dr A Francis, Assistant director ML Thomas and college principal Dr O Mahesh congratulated the runners up team. Mahesh said that his college team had tried for winning the cup till the end. Anyhow his guys played well and won runners up cup, he added. The college management appreciated the engineering college physical director (PD) Y Rajesh for winning the runners up cup.
