With the counting of votes for Andhra Pradesh MLC elections 2017 underway on Monday, the results for few constituencies have been declared.

The elections were held in nine constituencies of Andhra Pradesh and one legislative council in Telangana with the term of the legislative councillors coming to an end on March 29 and May 1 respectively.

The officials have declared the results of Kurnool MLC elections with the TDP nominee Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy emerging victorious. Initially, YSRCP candidate Venkat Reddy had been in the lead but eventually it is Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy who has won the election with a minor majority of 56 votes.

Coming to the Kadapa results, TDP candidate B-Tech Ravi has defeated YSRCP Senior candidate YS Viveka with a little margin of 30 votes.
