Rly cricket tourney begins
The 62nd All India Railway Cricket Championship was inaugurated at the East Coast Railway Sports Association Stadium, here on Monday. General manager and chief patron of East Coast Railway Sports Association Umesh Singh was the chief guest.
Visakhapatnam: The 62nd All India Railway Cricket Championship was inaugurated at the East Coast Railway Sports Association Stadium, here on Monday. General manager and chief patron of East Coast Railway Sports Association Umesh Singh was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion Umesh Singh said that Indian Railways has been in the forefront in recruitment of sports persons and promoting sports. He praised the achievement of Waltair division in hosting the railway cricket championship. This tournament is being held at Railway Stadium, Steel Plant Stadium and ACA Cricket Stadium in Vizianagaram. The championship started with the inaugural strike by Umesh Singh.
Association president D K Singh, chairman of BCCI selection committee MSK Prasad and others were present.
