Rampa Chodavaram: Three tribal women have been selected as Sub-Inspectors in the police department from the agency area under Rampa Chodavaram ITDA limits, Project Officer A Dinesh Kumar said here on Monday.

He congratulated the women for excelling in the competitive examinations braving poverty and becoming role models for the women folk in the agency area. Stating that the women who are half of the population are excelling in every field, he said that women do have the patience in solving women’s problems, being a police officer.

Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar said that Punigi Arjamma, daughter of daily labourer in Yetipalli village of Gangavaram mandal has completed engineering with the assistance of the government after completing her course at AP Tribal Welfare College. He further said that Arjamma got training for Group-2 at Youth Training Centre at Yetapaka and she stood first in agency scheduled caste category in zone-2 in SI examination results.

He maintained that another tribal student from Padebheeram Palli village of Rampa Chodavaram mandal, Parasika Narayanamma has been selected as civil S.I and added that she has completed B. Tech in Lenora College.

He added that she has been selected as S.I in the first attempt. He informed that another student from Rajavommangi mandal, P Syamala has been selected as
Sub-Inspector.
