Amaravati: YSRCP senior MLA G Srikanth Reddy on Friday demanded that the government announce the temple city Tirupati as the second capital of Andhra Pradesh and a transit Secretariat should be built in line with Velagapudi there. Srikanth Reddy said Tirupati is centrally located for four Rayalaseema districts and it should be developed.

The Rayachoti MLA spoke to media persons at the media point on Assembly premises on Friday. Expressing dissatisfaction over conduct of Assembly, he said the state government was ignoring the problems of people and many important issues did not come up for discussion the House.

Alleging that the state ministers and the government had not shown interest to discuss the issues raised by the Opposition, he said even ministers had not given proper answers to the questions raised by Opposition members in the Assembly. The YSRCP criticised the state government for not taking a decision on setting up High Court in the state even as it shifted secretariat to Velagapudi.

He expressed unhappiness over the state government “ignoring” important issues like Agri Gold victims, SSC question paper leak, aqua plant deaths at Mogalturu in West Godavari district, he said.
