Kurnool: District Collector Ch Vijay Mohan directed the municipal commissioner to ensure garbage is being lifted by the sanitation workers every day between 5 am and 8 am. Accompanied by the commissioner, the Collector inspected Babuji Nagar, KVR Garden, Osmania College Road, Budwarpeta, Geetha Mandir, I Town Police Station, Chinna Market, Main Bazar, Bandimetta, Gadigaram Hospital, Kanderi and Buruju in the city limits on Friday.

Vijay Mohan found garbage overflowing and scattered from the dustbins at some places. He expressed strong displeasure on commissioner for not maintaining good sanitation. He stated that he is not going to tolerate if the same situation continues and ordered the commissioner to get it clean by pressing the sanitation staff.

The Collector instructed the commissioner to direct supervisors to check sanitation in various divisions. He made it clear that garbage from dustbins are cleared every day. If the dustbins are left unattended then the garbage will emanate foul smell thereby it will result in breeding of mosquitoes and spread of diseases, he stated.

He asked the Health Officer to make visits in the divisions falling under his jurisdiction and get know the problems being faced by the people.
