Anand Babu vows to uplift weaker sections
Nakka Anand Babu promised to work for the upliftment of weaker sections as he took charge as Social welfare minister at Secretariat here on Monday. After assuming charge, he signed his first file concerning to the purchase of furniture to 90 social welfare residential schools at a cost of Rs 41.81 crore.

After assuming charge, he signed his first file concerning to the purchase of furniture to 90 social welfare residential schools at a cost of Rs 41.81 crore.
He also signed a file while sanctioning Rs 97.64 crore to Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for making of 125 feet long statue of Dr BR Ambedkar, which will be installed at Ambedkar Smritivanam in Amaravati.
While thanking Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for inducting into his cabinet, Anand Babu vowed to strive hard for the upliftment of the weaker sections. He slammed the previous governments for diverting the SC and ST sub-plan funds. He assured optimum utilisation of the funds meant for weaker sections.
