Amaravati: YSRCP IT Cell in-charge Challa Madhusudan Reddy categorically said that his party was no way associated with Political Punch website founder Inturi Ravikiran, who was earlier questioned by police for posting graphic content berating AP Legislative Council in social media.

Following the notices issued by police for questioning in connection with the government's crackdown on objectionable content in social media, Madhusudan Reddy appeared before the Thullur police on Tuesday morning. After questioning him, police asked him to appear again on April 30.

Speaking to media persons outside the police station, the YSRCP functionary said that Ravikiran was one of the countless supporters of the YSRCP and the party did not believe in uploading obscene or objectionable content. It was the TDP official website that was posting “highly slanderous and insulting” content against YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his family members, he alleged.

  • Reiterates Ravikiran has no ties with party, but vows to defend him
  • Alleges police did not accept their complaint against TDP website over its postings against Jagan and his family
  • Ravikiran too is questioned for second time by Thullur police

“Though we had lodged a complaint against the TDP official website for its objectionable and slanderous comments against Jaganmohan Reddy, police did not take the complaint on flimsy grounds. We will not be cowed down by the TDP’s blatant attempt to stifle the social media. YSRCP will continue to back Ravikiran, who is exposing the misdeeds of the TDP government through his satirical political punches,” Madhusudan asserted.

Meanwhile, Political Punch website founder Inturi Ravikiran also appeared before Thullur police on Tuesday for the second time to be questioned over the graphic on Legislative Council. Speaking to media persons, he said that the website which he runs had posts not just on TDP but also on other political parties. He clarified that he had no affiliation with the YSRCP.
