The first Zonal level CME (Continuing Medical Education) programme in Rayalaseema was held in Tirupati on Sunday. Andhra Pradesh Medical Council and Indian Medical Association jointly organised this programme. The Minister for Health Dr Kamineni Srinivas attended the programme as a chief guest and advised the doctors to keep updated on various developments in medical field.

Tirupati: The first Zonal level CME (Continuing Medical Education) programme in Rayalaseema was held in Tirupati on Sunday. Andhra Pradesh Medical Council and Indian Medical Association jointly organised this programme. The Minister for Health Dr Kamineni Srinivas attended the programme as a chief guest and advised the doctors to keep updated on various developments in medical field. These training programmes will help the doctors in rural areas in getting credit hours also. Doctors from the four districts of Rayalaseema and Nellore district participated in the one day programme.

Around 25 doctors from various departments took initiative in extending training to the 1200 delegates. Senior Physician from Tirupati Dr Krishna Prashanti gave a lecture on insulin injection techniques. AP Medical Council Vice Chairman Dr Sri Hari Rao, Dr Sipai Subramanyam of Indian Medical Association, Dr R Sudha Rani, Dr Vasudeva Naidu, Dr AR Reddy, Dr Aasa Latha and Dr Venkateswarlu participated.
