Chittoor:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly contemplating to nominate a woman incumbent for TTD Trust Board Chairman post, a first of its kind in the history of TTD. In order to encourage women empowerment and to encash on the patronage of woman voters in the state, the CM is said to be seriously examining the pros and cons in nominating a woman candidate for the highest post of TTD particularly from Chittoor district.

Chittoor MLA D.A.Satya Prabha, wife of former TTD Trust Board Chairman D.K.Audikesavulu is said to be very much interested in this post. In the past, she made futile efforts to be inducted in the state cabinet. Apart from it, Satya Prabha is said to be playing a vital role in Chittoor TDP for strengthening it whose financial status is put at supreme level. It would be accessible for a local person to take active part in the TTD matters, the CM has reportedly opined in this direction also.

Sources reveal that TDP stalwarts like Murali Mohan and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao are exerting pressure on the CM for this post. It is learnt that CM has a certain consideration for nominating former Minister Dr. G. Kuthuhalamma, a dalit leader of Chittoor district as TTD trust board member. There are certain predictions that CM would leave no stone unturned in encouraging former minister B. Gopalakrishna Reddy also. It is however sure that CM would certainly take a remarkable turn as far as the TTD Trust Board Chairman post is concerned.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, Chittoor MLA D.A.Satya Prabha said that she would happily and proudly discharge the duties of TTD Trust Board Chairperson if appointed by the CM “There are no reservations for me. CM is our captain. We have to obey his orders. He knows very well how to avail my services at all levels “she added. Asked to comment, whether she was the core aspirant for this prestigious post, Satya Prabha said that anybody would like to serve Lord Venkateswara, at TTD and there was no exception in her case.
