Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Castes Co-operative Finance Corporation Limited released its annual SC action plan on Wednesday for the year 2017-18 with an outlay of Rs 2176.99 crore. Out of this amount, Rs 1,150.53 crore has been earmarked towards subsidy.

The outlay is aimed at rendering assistance to 1,26,519 SC families in the state. Bank loan is targeted at Rs 846.30 crore and other department subsidy is Rs 5 crore. Beneficiary contribution is Rs 10.52 crore. Proposals have also been made to get assistance from other financial agencies.SC Corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakara Rao along with the SC Corporation Managing Director G Vijay Kumar released the annual plan at a hotel here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Jupudi said the Telugu Desam government had decided to render financial assistance to 1,26,519 families in the state with an outlay of Rs 2,176.99 crore. He said self-employment schemes will be sanctioned to 68,355 individuals and 8000 people will be benefitted under the land purchase scheme.

Jupudi announced that the Corporation launched a novel scheme to render financial assistance for the development of SC families in the State.He said that for the first time, the SC corporation is going to implement a new scheme to provide financial assistance to run the business establishments or services. He said the SC candidates, who have experience in any field can submit a project report explaining how successfully they can run a business unit and apply to the government for the bank loan and subsidy.

He said the candidates can avail the benefit through the Andhra Praesh Scheduled Caste Co-operative Finance Corporation Limited. He said the government departments would prepare a list of schemes and select the beneficiaries to render assistance. The candidates can submit a project report related to their business activity and seek help from the SC Corporation to develop their business units.

He further said interest free loans will be sanctioned to 1000 persons and 31,714 persons will be trained under the skill development programmes in the current financial year. Jupudi said landless Dalits will be allotted three acres land with 75 per cent subsidy up to maximum of Rs 15 lakh.He said the government had decided to sanction 200 Innova cars each at a cost of Rs 20 lakh and 100 other cars so that the SC families get benefited.

He said the SC Corporation has made an agreement with various government departments to operate vehicles on contract basis and vehicles will be arranged to SC families. He said the SC Corporation decided to set up education institutions across the state to impart coaching to SC students to attend various competitive examinations. He said a budget of Rs 25 crore has been allocated to train the students to attend top examinations like Civils and Group I examinations and four study centres will be set in Vizag, Eluru, Anantapur and Nellore in this regard.

SC Corporation Managing Director G Vijay Kumar said the applicants can log on to Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (OBMMS) to enroll their names to get benefits being given by the SC corporation through Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Caste Co operative Finance Corporation Limited.

He said the Andhra Pradesh government had decided to begin the schemes from April/May contrary to the earlier days when SC corporation activities used to begin in December and end by April next year.
