Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee lodged a complaint with Governorpet police station here on Wednesday against BJP president Amti Shah alleging that the BJP leader was cheating Dalits in the name of participating in feast at their homes during his tour in Telangana and other states. The party also alleged that Amit Shah was giving false promises in order to gain political mileage.

The BJP leader is not consuming food provided by Dalits, but was making false propaganda posing that he was participating in feast in Dalits’s homes, alleged the Congress leaders. They said Amit Shah was making false claims stating the NDA government fulfilled the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act-2014. “In fact, BJP cheated people of the Andhra Pradesh by denying Special Category Status to the state and did not give clarity on railway zone to the state with headquarters in Visakhapatnam”, pointed out.

The NDA government also did not accomplish its promise on providing employment to one crore youth per year and did not allocate funds to expansion of Vijayawada-Hyderabad Highway. APCC general secretaries Meesala Rajeswara Rao, Akula Srinivasa Rao, State Mahila Congress president Sunkara Padmasri and others were present.
