The city police on Wednesday arrested four persons and restored an eight-month-old baby boy to its parents. The arrested were identified as Pachipulusu Bhimshankar, Kalla Sankar, Eluru Vijay Kumar and N Durga Prasad. The police said Natla Srinu, who sells phenol, was sleeping on the footpath on Kanchaparapelm flyover, along with his wife and five children.

The police said Natla Srinu, who sells phenol, was sleeping on the footpath on Kanchaparapelm flyover, along with his wife and five children.
At 2 am on May 18, his last child eight-month-old Surya, who was sleeping close to his mother, went missing. After a futile search, he lodged a complaint with the Fifth Town police, the following morning.Earlier, Tandala Mallesh and his wife Hemalata, natives of Gurajala in Guntur district, who run a grocery shop in Kukatpally in Hyderabad told their neighbour Bhimshankar to find a male child in Visakhapatnam for adoption as they failed to get one in Hyderabad.
Bhimshankar, immediately thought of a plan to abduct a child and told his friend Vasu who in turn sought help of his brother-in-law Kalla Shankar and his friends Eluru Vijay Kumar (auto driver) and N Durga Prasad. As per plan, they kidnapped the baby boy and took it to Vijayawada in a taxi and handed over the baby to Mallesh and Hemlata and collected Rs 1 lakh from them. When the couple sought a certificate, Bhimshankar told them that it would take two months.
Meanwhile, the police launched a search for the baby and basing on information, found all the accused in Convent Junction in the city and arrested them.They recovered Rs 58,000 cash, three mobile phones and the auto-rcikshaw that was used forkidnap.
