Subudendra Tirtha Swamiji of Raghavendra Swamy Mutt at Mantralaya inaugurated the camp on varsity premises here on Wednesday. Subudendra Swamiji stressed on the importance of Shastras in the present day scenario which was hidden treasure of India.

Swamiji appreciated the RSVP's efforts for reviving interest in Shastras and presented a cheque of Rs 2 lakh towards the training camp. Former RSVP V-C Prof D Prhladachar said the camp is being organised to the budding young scholastic students after a gap of 14 years. Another doyen in the Shastra, Mahamahopadhyaya V Gopalakrishna Sastry stated that these training camps can only be organised by the RSVP, where legendary scholars have come up.

Speaking to The Hans India, Professor of Nyaya Vibhagh OS Ramlal Sarma said eminent scholars from all over the country will impart their knowledge to the 80 plus students in the camp. Vidyapeetha V-C Prof V Muralidhara Sharma delivered the inaugural address. Registrar Prof C Umashankar, Prof S Satyanaryanamurthy, Prof J Ramakrishna, Dr K Viswanatha and other scholars were present.
