Guntur: Heavy rain lashed the city on Tuesday. A large number of trees were uprooted and telephones poles fell on
the road causing inconvenience to the vehicle riders and commuters. Downpour continued more than one-and-a-half-hour in the city. However, nobody was injured due to uprooting of trees and telephone poles. People got respite from scorching heat. APSTRC bus stand area, municipal corporation, municipal market area, tashil office area, and several roads in Brodipet and Arundalpet, Ambekar Nagar in the city were inundated with rain water.
