The Central Government has released a new list of Smart Cities and two states from the Telugu states have made it to the top ten list.
Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh ranked third while Karimnagar in Telangana was placed fifth in the Smart Cities list. Another 30 cities have been accommodated in the list of Smart Cities.
The list of Smart Cities was announced by the Union Urban Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu. Speaking on the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu said that the Union Finance Ministry has decided to make an arrangement of capital gains to those farmers in Andhra Pradesh, who have offered their lands for the capital construction.
