Loan limit to SCs, STs to buy taxis raised
The government has decided to enhance the loan limit to SCs and STs to purchase taxis under self-employment scheme from Rs 15 lakhs to Rs 20 lakhs.

The maximum loan has been increased to Rs 20 lakh from Rs 15 lakh
Industries minister N Amaranatha Reddy conducted a review meeting with officials concerned and APIIC (AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) officials at the Secretariat on Wednesday. While enquiring about the progress on the implementation of the decisions taken earlier during International MSME Day and in the APIIC meetings, the minister asked the officials to ensure provision of all the concessions for SCs and STs to make them self-reliant.
He asked the officials them to study the policy being implemented by other states on purchase of MSME products.
Recalling the promise made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during election to the industrialists belonging to Hyderabad to provide lands in the capital Amaravati, Amaranatha Reddy asked the officials to ensure provision of lands to the industrialists for establishing industries in Mallavalli industrial area near Vijayawada.
Industries department secretary Salmon Arokia Raj, commissioner Siddharth Jain, APIIC MD Babu A and other officials were present.
