Tirupati: There will be no GST on laddu prasadam at Tirumala, but some services like sale of gold dollars, accommodation and kalyana mandapams will come under the new tax regime, according to TTD EO AK Singhal.
Speaking to the media after the ‘Dial Your EO’ programme at Tirumala on Friday, Singhal said that there will be 3% GST on sale of gold dollars, 12% GST on the rooms with a tariff ranging between Rs 1000 and Rs 2500 and 18% on those rooms ranging above Rs 2500. For TTD kalyana mandapams with a rental over Rs 10000, there will be GST," the EO added.
