RU students complain about poor quality food
Students of Rayalaseema University (RU) under the banner of AISF gheraoed its Vice-Chancellor Y Narasimhulu at a hostel linked to the University here on Friday. The Vice-Chancellor (V-C) went to the hostel to pacify the students, who indulged in verbal spat with the staff stating that they are being served with substandard rice.
Kurnool: Students of Rayalaseema University (RU) under the banner of AISF gheraoed its Vice-Chancellor Y Narasimhulu at a hostel linked to the University here on Friday. The Vice-Chancellor (V-C) went to the hostel to pacify the students, who indulged in verbal spat with the staff stating that they are being served with substandard rice.
The students questioned the Vice-Chancellor as to why the hostels are giving least importance to their health. They said the rice resembled plastic rice. Narasimhulu directed the staff to prepare breakfast once again and he, too, ate it along with the students.
He sent samples of the food served for Thursday dinner and Friday breakfast to the lab for examination. He assured the students that action would be taken according to the lab reports.
