The state government approved the bid submitted by Gurgaon-based M/s Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd., for preparing detailed project report (DPR) for Non-Motorised Transport (NMT) and Integrated Public Transport (IPT) plan for Vijayawada Metro Rail Project at a professional fee of Rs 98.05 lakhs (+GST).

Amaravati: The state government approved the bid submitted by Gurgaon-based M/s Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd., for preparing detailed project report (DPR) for Non-Motorised Transport (NMT) and Integrated Public Transport (IPT) plan for Vijayawada Metro Rail Project at a professional fee of Rs 98.05 lakhs (+GST).

Managing director of Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (AMRCL) requested the government to approve the selection of the Urban Mass Transit Company as a consultant for preparation of DPR for Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) and Integrated Public Transport (IPT) Plan for Vijayawada Metro Rail Project to enable the AMRCL to enter into an agreement with M/s Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd. and also address Union government for release of mobilisation advance as contemplated under the scheme of Urban Transport Planning.

Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd., Gurgaon, M/s L&T Infrastructure Engineering Ltd., Chennai and M/s Delhi Integrated Multi-Model Transit System Limited (DIMTS), Delhi have participated in the bid which had been invited AMRCL.

All the three were found qualified in the technical evaluation and the financial bids submitted by them. After the quality and cost Based (QCBS) selection system, the Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd was found as lowest bidder.
